[Recipe] Homemade Coconut Butter (Vegan)

Everyone knows Coconut, it's delicious, it’s healthy and it comes in a broad range of ways from Shredded, to milk, oil, water, whole coconut and even Coconut butter!

But what is coconut butter and how hard is it to make?

Well, coconut butter is shredded coconut milled at high speed until it releases its natural oils and turns into a butter, pretty much the same as how you make all other nut butters. It's very easy to make but like most nut butters it takes time and patience.

So next time you need a delicious and creamy butter that will go great with anything, try coconut butter. Coconut butter is high in healthy coconut fats, fiber, some vitamins, and minerals as well as some protein!

Here’s how we do it:

Ingredients:

  1. 4 cups Shredded Coconut
  2. Pinch of salt
  3. Stevia Extract or sweetener of choice

Directions:

  • Add Shredded Coconut into a blender or food processor and blend until nice and creamy (about 10-20 mins).
  • During the entire blending time, make sure you scrape the sides so everything gets properly blended.
  • Once nice and creamy add salt and your sweetener of choice, blend for 1 more minute.
  • Enjoy!

You may store the butter in a glass jar at room temperature for 2-3 months.
