Black Pepper Powder - Organic
Black pepper powder has been used in cooking for centuries.
Originating in India, it was used in Ayurvedic principles to support various issues. It was also used as a spice in cooking and was a favored trade item in the ancient spice trade.
It was so highly valued it was even used as currency. It was eventually introduced to Europe in the 16th century and was used in various dishes. It is used worldwide as a seasoning in savory dishes and is a staple in many kitchens.
Pepper is commonly described as the "king of spices," It shares a place on most dinner tables with salt. The word pepper originated from the Sanskrit word pippali, meaning berry. Black pepper is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit, which is usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning.
The fruit, known as a peppercorn when dried, is dark red when fully mature and, like all drupes, contains a single seed.
Suggested Use: Add a dash to any food, soups, or sauce.
