The BBQ Vegetable Blend is a great whole food flavoring mixture that has a similar taste and texture to ketchup -- but contains a richer flavor. And, this BBQ Vegetable Blend is much healthier as there is no sugar and no high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
This is a very versatile, core blend that has been featured in several delicious Z Natural Foods recipes. We will also use this in many other recipes including beans, eggs and soups.
Here are the 10 ingredients and directions for the BBQ Vegetable Blend:
- 6 tbsp Tomato powder
- 5 tbsp Beet powder
- 5 tbsp Pomegranate juice powder
- 1 tbsp and 1 tsp Chili spice powder
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika powder
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 ½ tsp Nutmeg powder
- 1 tbsp Salt
- Mix all 10 ingredients in a medium mixing bowl and sift together.
- Store in a glass jar in a cool dry, place.
- The mix is stored in a powder form and can stay fresh up to six months while refrigerated.
